Audiobook Review: 'Girl, Wash Your Face' by Rachel Hollis

Saturday, February 16, 2019

This year on The Writing Addict, I have decided to add individual audiobook reviews along with the book reviews I do. Even though I will be reviewing the audiobook, I’m still going to use the same style and structure as my book reviews. By writing these reviews in this manner, my goal is to give you applicable content in case you want to buy a physical book, rather than listening to the audiobook. However, I still will list off certain audiobook quirks that may not be a problem in the physical book.

5 Podcasts I Couldn't Finish

Saturday, February 9, 2019

There are good podcasts and then there are rough (I don’t want to say bad--because I don’t think any podcast is “bad”) podcasts. I try to give every podcast I stumble upon a fair shot, but some podcasts, I just can’t get through listening no matter how hard I try. Saturday, January 19, 2019

Don’t get me wrong, I love reading books. I enjoy pausing on every word, visualizing, and enjoying a quiet moment. But on the flip side, I work 8 hour days with a 40-minute commute home, meaning the majority of the day, I can’t have a book in my hand. Enter audiobooks to save the day.

When Does the Loneliness Set In?

Saturday, January 12, 2019

The loneliness sets in at night, when you’re in bed with your eyes closed, waiting for sleep to take you into his arms. But in those fifteen minutes, when you are trying to drift away, you suddenly become aware of the emptiness around you.

4 Self-Care Podcasts You Should Listen to Now

Saturday, January 5, 2019

It is so secret on this blog that I love podcasts. I’m obsessed with true crime and writing podcasts, but I recently found a new podcast genre I’m in love with. Self-care and Law of Attraction podcasts are podcasts that I enjoy when I need advice, or a pick me up for the soul. While spiritualism may not be for everyone, I find that certain concepts in these podcasts like positive thinking or mindfulness can be applied in anyone’s life.
